About the Truemed process
Truemed is for patients for whom the selected product has been proven to prevent or reverse a condition you care about. An asynchronous health survey will determine eligibility and take qualified patients to payment.
If you pay with your HSA/FSA card, there's no other work you need to do. Truemed will send paperwork to ensure compliance. If you pay with your personal credit card, Truemed will send reimbursement instructions.

How long does it take to get approved for a Letter of Medical Necessity?
It takes only a few minutes! Most applicants will receive instant approval enabling them to complete their purchase. Your Letter of Medical Necessity will be sent via email.
How many Letters of Medical Necessity does a customer need to obtain?
Each Letter of Medical Necessity can cover multiple qualified products and can be used for your Chilly GOAT purchases. Reimbursement for prior orders is subject to the respective rules set by HSA/FSA providers.
How long does the Letter of Medical Necessity last?
Each Letter is valid for 12 months before it needs to be renewed.
How do I pay for my Chilly GOAT Cold Tub or Sweaty GOAT Sauna?
You can purchase your cold tub or sauna as you would anticipate. Truemed, upon approval, will provide you with all the necessary documentation to submit with your reimbursement claim to your HSA/FSA provider. You can submit claims individually or all together at the end of the year.
I don’t have enough HSA or FSA funds to cover the full purchase. Can I use what I have?
Don’t worry! It’s totally cool to apply for partial reimbursement. You would purchase your product at the listed price and submit your Letter of Medical Necessity and the receipt to your HSA or FSA administrator. Based on the remaining balance in your account, your administrator will then reimburse you accordingly.
