With Phoenix Raceway as the backdrop, firefighters in full gear climbed step after step in honor of the 343 firefighters and all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The climb — 2,200 stairs, the equivalent of 110 floors — mirrored the height of the World Trade Center towers.

It was the first-ever 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb hosted by Avondale Firefighter Charities. The nonprofit, made up of active-duty firefighters, raises funds to support their community in Avondale as well as public safety organizations statewide.

As participants finished the demanding climb, Chilly GOAT Cold Tubs were there to help them cool down and recover. Firefighters and community members stepped into inflatable cold tubs for relief after the challenge, making the experience more accessible in the Arizona heat.

“Once again we at Avondale Firefighter Charities can't thank Chilly GOAT enough for supporting our 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb event. Your cold tubs were awesome and a big hit for the participants,” said Frank Saufley, firefighter, medic, and event organizer.

Chilly GOAT is proud to stand alongside the firefighting community and contribute to an event that honors the fallen while supporting those who continue to serve.
